Getting behind the wheel can feel like a lot when you're nervous, starting from scratch, or coming from lessons that never quite clicked. Learn To Drive Automatic is the driving school I run to make learning feel clear, steady, and a lot less daunting from the very first lesson. I started training in 2002 and qualified in 2007, after teaching manual for years before focusing on automatic tuition, because for many learners it takes away one big layer of stress.
My aim is simple: to help you feel safe, capable, and ready to pass without making lessons feel stiff, rushed, or harder than they need to be. Whether you're learning for the first time or moving from another driving school where lessons didn't suit your learning style, I'll help you build the confidence and skills needed for safe driving long after you've passed your test.

At Learn To Drive Automatic, I help you work through that with patient automatic tuition, theory support, and focused coaching that suits nervous learners, ADHD learners, autistic learners, and anyone who needs a calmer pace.
I cover Waterlooville and the wider PO6, PO7, PO8, PO9, PO12, PO13, PO14, PO15, PO16, and PO17 areas, and I also offer intensive lessons of 2 hours per day if you want to make quicker progress. Competitive lesson prices are available, and you can ask about intensive course pricing, student discounts, NHS discounts, and block booking savings to help keep your learning costs under control.
Important information
Please note that I do not currently cover Hayling Island, Selsey, GU postcodes, Brighton, Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, or Petersfield. I teach automatic vehicles only. If you're looking for manual driving lessons, I can recommend a trusted manual instructor. Driving tests are only taken in my vehicle after you've completed lessons with me and I've confirmed you're ready for test day. This helps maintain high standards and gives you the best chance of success.
